Calma, jovem.

the ability of local governments to plan, manage, and pay for critical public services and investments.

Quem diria. Quem estava no governo, nessa altura? Lembras-te? Não me recordo.

Estamos sempre a aprender.
"Ireland is a welcoming island with cosmopolitan cities and a strong history related to literature. The Irish government is committed to supporting students and invested 11.1 billion EUR in education in 2020 alone. To attract international students, hundreds of scholarship and funding programmes are available."
"In Ireland, undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degrees are free for citizens from Ireland, EU/EEA countries, and Switzerland. The costs are covered by the Higher Education Authority (HEA).
Keep in mind that not all undergraduate courses offered by public universities are free. Always check the official study programme page to see what tuition fees apply to students from your country.
To benefit from the “free fees initiative”, you have to apply for the government funding programme and prove that you are eligible. You are not eligible if:
- You already have an undergraduate degree
- You already have a postgraduate degree
- You are repeating a year of study
Nationality, immigration status, residence and course requirements are other criteria that can qualify you for a tuition-free university degree.
For postgraduate (Master’s and PhD) studies, EU/EEA students should expect to pay tuition fees that range between 3,000 - 30,000 EUR/academic year. Business and Medicine courses are usually the most expensive."
"Everyone ordinarily resident in Ireland and certain visitors to Ireland are entitled to a range of public health services either free of charge or at reduced cost. You are ordinarily resident if you have been living in Ireland for at least a year or you intend to live here for at least one year.
Depending on your circumstances, short-term visitors to Ireland may be entitled to health services that are free or at a reduced cost."
"Free travel in Ireland
Everyone aged 66 and over living permanently in Ireland is entitled to travel free of charge on public transport. People under 66 on certain social welfare payments are also entitled to free travel. Find out more about free travel in Ireland and the Senior SmartPass which allows you to travel for free on public transport in Northern Ireland.
Social welfare payments and living on a specified island
If you are getting a certain social welfare payment and living on a specified island off the coast of Ireland, you can get an increase in your social welfare payment.
Household Benefits Package
The Household Benefits Package helps you with the costs of running your household. It includes electricity and gas allowances and a Free Television Licence. It is paid to people over 70 and to people under 70 in some circumstances.
Living Alone Increase
The Living Alone Increase is a supplementary payment for people on social welfare pensions who are living alone.
Fuel Allowance
The National Fuel Scheme provides an allowance to low-income households that are unable to meet their heating needs.
Telephone Support Allowance
The Telephone Support Allowance is a supplementary payment for people on certain social welfare payments who are also getting both the Living Alone Increase and the Fuel Allowance."
